Founded over a decade ago, American Rodsmiths was created by an avid fisherman to provide the finest rods available to other avid fisherman… and for over 10 years now, that is exactly what we have been doing. Owner Robert Scherer, along with some of the Original All Star Rods gang, had the dream to build the finest rods available, utilizing the best components, and utilizing cutting edge technology to create rods that are both unbelievably strong, yet incredibly light and sensitive, and that is a goal that continues to drive us to this day.

Robert is an avid fisherman who currently fishes the Redfish Cup Series, and it has been his life long passion to develop the finest rods available for anglers.
Mandie Scherer – Customer Service Manager
Mandie is the face and voice of American Rodsmiths and is key to ensuring Customer Satisfaction, from people who walk into see our showroom in person, to customers calling from all corners of the globe.

Cody is a Houston native who grew up fishing the local fresh, and salt waters. Responsible for everything from inventory management, to custom rod wrapping and repairs.
