American Rodsmiths Warranty Programs
American Rodsmiths wants you to “Keep on Fishing”
Damaged Rod? Broken Guide? Chipped Insert? American Rodsmiths has you covered. Utilize one of the two programs listed below and American Rodsmiths will do all we can to ensure that you get to “Keep on Fishing”.
1 – Standard American Rodsmiths Warranty Program
American Rodsmits Rods are covered by an original owner limited lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship and materials for the lifetime of the original owner. American Rodsmiths is not responsible for normal wear and tear, nor failures caused by accident, abuse, alteration, modification, misuse or improper care. You must present your sales receipt or proof of purchase when making any warranty claim. Ship the complete damaged rod in a disposable container (we suggest PVC pipe), prepaid and insured, directly to:

Please include a competed warranty claim form, available for download on our website. Return shipping costs will be determined by American Rodsmiths and can be paid in check or via credit card over the phone.
Should the damage occur due to a manufacturing defect, American Rodsmiths will, at the company’s discretion, either repair or replace the product at no charge. Damages occurring due to misuse, neglect, accident or normal wear and tear will, at the company’s discretion, be repaired or replaced for a fee after an estimate has been provided to you for approval, prior to any repair being started. If after examination we decide to replace the damaged product, but no longer offer that model, we will replace it with a product of equal or greater value and performance.
2 – American Rodsmiths “Keep on Fishing” Warranty Program
For damages determined to be from accident, normal wear and tear, or neglect or warranty claims without original owner proof of purchase, American Rodsmiths offers a No Hassle repair and replacement policy. In the event a rod is broken, the rod owner must pay a small fee to receive a replacement.
Your dealer is not authorized to offer replacements under this warranty so you’ll have to ship it direct to American Rodsmiths in Houston, Tx.
If we no longer offer the exact model, we will replace it with the closest comparable model from our current product line, and we will ship you a current replacement via standard UPS ground service. When you receive your new rod, remove it from the shipping tube, place the broken rod in the same tube, and ship back to American Rodsmiths at:

Please send the following to the above address:
- Check, money order or credit card (excluding American Express) in the amount of $55 to cover the replacement fee and return shipping (standard UPS ground). Shipping can be upgraded for an addition cost. If shipping destination is outside of the Continental United States, please contact customer service for accurate shipping charges.
- The complete damaged rod with a completed warranty claim form (available for download above)
- If we receive your rod and determine it is a manufacturer’s defect, we will refund the replacement fee, less $20 for return shipping and handling.
3 – Repair Policy
If you have a reputable rod repair shop in your area, American Rodsmiths will ship you replacement guides and/or tip guides to get your rod repaired. Contact us with what you need and we will get it out right away.
If this is not an option for you, then we will gladly repair any broken guides, tips or other repairable components.

- Check, money order or credit card (excluding American Express) in the amount of $25 to cover return shipping and handling. If shipping destination is outside of the Continental United States, please contact customer service for accurate shipping charges.
- The complete damaged rod with a completed warranty claim form (available for download above)

This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the rod and does not cover consequential damages due to the failure of the rod unless they are specifically included under various state laws.
Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty may last or allow for exclusion of incidental or consequential damages; therefore, the above stipulated limitation and/or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which may vary from state to state.
